  This cemetery is being incorrectly spelled by Google. It is actually the FENNEL (one 'L') CEMETERY, on the land that originally belonged to Wiley Fennel who obtained it in 1818 as the original settler. This place has been recognized on the Alabama Historic Cemetery Register as the FENNEL CEMETERY, and no one ever can change its name. The road sign on John Johnson Road always pointed to the Fennel Cemetery, Hopefully no one has removed it and replaced it with one saying Fennell.
